This prestigious award recognizes individuals whose contributions promotes the advancement of environmental sciences, education in the field, and use of science in environmental policy and decision-making.

Dr. Stephanie Green, marine conservation researcher at the University of Alberta and BMSC instructor, is one of 21 leading sustainability scientists announced as the 2021 North American cohort of the Earth Leadership Program (ELP).

The project encapsulates the shared vision and values of the Huu-ay-aht First Nations and the BMSC to promote the health and development of the community while reducing the impact of wastewater to protect the local marine environment.
