In celebration of our 50th Anniversary, we present a series of eight stories. Enjoy!

As part of BMSC’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations (1972-2022), we are hosting the BMSC 50th Anniversary BioBlitz. So far we have recorded over 14,000 observations and over 1500 species!

This is the story of the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre, which has grown as a result of a remarkable collaboration among 5 universities working together since 1969 to provide a field station on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
