We wish to welcome our newly arrived Marine Science Education Interns, who over the next 10 months, will be supporting marine science education on the west coast of Canada, participating in a unique opportunity to obtain vital exposure, experience and specialized skills training across a number of areas in the marine and coastal sciences at the BMSC.
In addition to marine science education our Interns will have the opportunity to obtain additional hands-on training, including areas such as marine and coastal research support, First Nations educational initiatives, university field courses, animal care, science communication, ocean monitoring and public outreach. The goals of the internship are to help build the skill sets and get the hands-on experience needed to further contribute to society’s goals for a healthy ocean and sustainable future.
