Ken Hawkins, our Systems Administrator offers technical support to non-BMSC equipment, where such support does not interfere with BMSC operations or workloads.

Network Internet Access
Wireless services are inherently insecure, and BMSC assumes no responsibility for any harm or loss incurred by the use of this service. Where security is an issue, IT can assist you to connect with an Ethernet cable.
- Wifi hotspots throughout campus
- Wired outlets available in most labs and offices
Guests should be aware that our service is VERY slow and they are to avoid relying on it for video conferencing or streaming.
Internet service is provided as a courtesy and BMSC does not guarantee performance or availability. Service may also be interrupted without warning to ensure BMSC core operations are not disrupted.
Moodle: Learning Management System
Moodle at BMSC is the primary channel through which instructors deliver course materials, and students submit assignments for marking.
Students access instructor-supplied materials via the web server at:
The University Programs staff at BMSC, or your Instructor will provide your login information.
Media Services
- A/V equipment such as projectors, screens and audio systems are available for use (portable kits are available in classrooms without fixed installations).
- Two way videoconferencing is feasible, but can be dependent on local traffic.
- Polycom videoconferencing kit.
Resources Database
Use the Resource Database to search BMSC inventories of:
- Equipment
- Chemicals
- Science Stores
- Books in Teaching Labs
Login using: username “guest”, password “guest”.
The first time you access the database, you may get a security message which can be safely ignored.
To search the database, start by select the appropriate category:
- Equipment – University Program
- Equipment – Research
- Chemicals – University Program
- etc.
Computer Network Services Policy
BMSC monitors network and Internet access and use patterns. Anyone found in violation of the Computer Network Services Policy, or in any other way compromising network services at BMSC may be subject to service blocking and other disciplinary action.
There is a limited supply of PC equipment available for short-term loan. To view a list of PC’s and accessories available you can login to our Resources Database at the link below, with the user/pass of guest/guest. You can refine the view by selecting “categories” drop down in mid-left area of page after login.
