I am an ecologist and systematist devoted to studying the bewildering diversity of marine invertebrates. I am particularly interested in the often overlooked bivalves, ranging from wood borers in tropical Australia to carnivorous clams in the deep sea. I got my first taste of Bamfield as part of a student forum in 2002 and, hooked, returned for undergraduate field trips in 2004 and summer courses in 2005. I can say without hesitation that BMSC put me on the path I am on today and it is a privilege to return, now on the other side of the classroom. I can’t wait to see what we uncover!
